Racing
Neon Carriageway
★★★★☆ 4.2
Neon Carriageway is unapologetic arcade racing — no simulation physics, just fast lanes, drift boosts and a glowing city rushing past. You can steer by tilting the phone or with on-screen buttons, and both feel responsive once you tweak the sensitivity in settings.
We played most of it one-handed while waiting around, which says a lot about how forgiving the controls are. Career mode has enough tracks to keep you busy for a good while, and it all lives on the device. No connection, no problem — the leaderboard is just your own past runs.
It's repetitive if you binge it, so we'd call it a game for short bursts. But those bursts are genuinely fun, and the soundtrack alone earns it a spot on the phone.
What we liked
- Tilt or touch steering, both tunable
- Career mode fully playable offline
- Great synthwave soundtrack for short runs
