Hollowreach
Hollowreach is a quiet, atmospheric adventure that unfolds inside a derelict mountain observatory. You explore room by room, tapping to examine, combining items and slowly piecing together why the place was left behind. It leans into mood — dim light, distant wind, careful pacing.
The puzzles are properly built into the environment rather than dropped in as arbitrary locks. One sequence with a broken star chart had us actually grab a notepad, which we mean as a compliment. Everything runs offline, and the game auto-saves at every room so you never lose progress on a bad connection.
It's not long — we finished in an evening and a bit — but it's the kind of experience that stays with you. If you like a story you can sink into without any online noise, this is an easy recommendation.
What we liked
- Environmental puzzles tied to the story
- Auto-saves per room, fully offline
- Strong atmosphere and sound design
